Nohe Weir-Villatoro
Instructor
Nohe started skateboarding 20 years ago in his father’s native land of El Salvador, which gave him a unique perspective into the world of skateboarding. This is due to the minimal availability of skateboarding media in El Salvador along with the limited amounts of skaters in his area. He learned his first tricks by printing out sequences of skateboard tricks at the local Internet cafe.
Fast forward 20 years to 2024. After an 18 year run in the culinary industry and many years immersed in the Asheville and Denver skate scene respectively Nohe has now set up shop with his skate shop/grocer La Boardega in Mebane, NC where he lives with his wife Jessica and 4-year-old son Ollie
Trevor Underwood
Instructor
Trevor is a 39 year old skater who earns his living as a freelance videographer. He lives in Cary, NC with his wife Aspen & son Cleo. Thanks to the influence of Bart Simpson, Marty McFly and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he started skating at the age of 5. At 11 he got more serious about skateboarding and started learning tricks by picking apart images in the magazines. Once he landed his first kickflip he became a lifelong skateboarder. “Skateboarding is far more than an athletic endeavor and the lessons I’ve learned through skating hold influence in many areas of my personal and professional life.” He is also currently working with the town of Elon, NC to get the first public skatepark built in the area.
